Hungry Hungry Coeds builds community by connecting students to campus events. It is a free forum where students can post and discuss campus events. On many college campuses, there are an large number of free food events happening every day. Having free food at an event creates a positive atmosphere for community growth and the exchange of ideas. Additionally, providing refreshments at an event sends a signal to potential attendees that it has been generally well-planned.
Joe Golden and Jon Koller founded Hungry Hungry Coeds.com in the fall of 2006 on the campus of their college, The University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. They wanted to create a centralized forum to help student groups promote their events and to help students find them. They were interested in high-quality events, especially events with free food. They relaunched the site, with a much improved layout, in January, 2007. Noting the positive response Hungry Hungry Coeds has received at the University of Michigan, they have begun to expand the site to other schools.
Getting involved is easy! Just register an account and add some events on your college campus.
We are always looking for people to help us improve and promote the site, as well as people to help launch Hungry Hungry Coeds at new universities. E-mail us at HungryHungryCoeds@gmail.com with how you would like to get more involved and we promise to e-mail you back promptly.
