Come on by to learn about Amateur Radio (a.k.a. "ham radio") at Michigan and meet the club members, get involved in club radio and antenna projects at our station W8UM, and hear about upcoming club events. This month, we will be talking about prepping club members for FCC Amateur License tests. We are also very excited to present our guest speaker:
Featured Speaker: Larry Phipps N8LP, owner of TelePost, Inc.
Larry is a fellow Wolverine and former operator of W8PGW (the South Quad Radio Club in the 1960s). After operating a successful television post-production business for many years, Larry now produces some very innovative and high-performance equipment for radio amateurs. Larry will show us some of his products, including the LP-100 Digital Vector Wattmeter (as seen in a recent QST review and an in-depth QEX technical article). In addition, Larry is donating an LP-100 kit for the W8UM station!
