Join us for this sixth segment of "In Sickness and in Wealth", a seven-part PBS series that challenges fundamental beliefs about what makes Americans healthy - or sick - and offers new remedies for an ailing society. Segment 6 is entitled "Collateral Damage" and will be shown twice, 12-1:30 PM and 5-6:30 PM. Discussion and a light meal will follow the noon and evening showing. • What constitutes popular American Culture and how can you demystify it?
• What is culture shock and what is its relevance upon re-entry to one's home country?
• What are the feelings associated with culture shock and what can you do to get help to understand the American Culture and to make yourself feel better?

The Center for World Performance Studies 2007 Graduate Student Cohort members, as a final presentation for their residency, will perform "We Interrupt this Program," at the Sh/aut Gallery and Caberet, on Sunday, March 30 at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Q&A session. The performance is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served following the performance.

Peter Turnley graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in French Literature,
the Sorbonne of Paris, and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques of Paris, where he received
a graduate degree in International Relations. His photographs have graced the cover of NEWSWEEK over 40 times.
In addition to working as a contract photographer for that publication from 1984-2001,
Turnley has covered nearly every major news event of international significance.
He has photographed world conflicts in the Balkans (Bosnia), Somalia, Rwanda,
South Africa, Chechnya, Haiti, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Iraq (2003),
the Gulf War (1991), and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
